"WEB" Gets a New Name: NAWBOŽ-SF Leaders and Legends...

NAWBOŽ-SF's annual awards ceremony has a new name!

23rd Annual NAWBOŽ-SF Leaders and Legends: Women Entrepreneurs of the Year Luncheon

SAVE THE DATE - FRIDAY, MAY 4!

Known as the Women Entrepreneurs Breakfast since 1985, the event evolved into the Women Entrepreneurs Benefit in 2000, and in both cases has frequently been referred to as "the WEB" event. Since the "WEB" has an entirely different meaning these days, the NAWBOŽ Executive Committee decided it was time to update the name of our annual event to reflect the three categories of women entrepreneurs that are honored each year: the Trailblazer, the Rising Star and the NAWBOŽ-SF Member of the Year.

We hope you like the new name, and we also hope that you will save the date for our signature annual event: Friday, May 4, at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco! We are repeating our popular hat theme from last year, so start thinking about what kind of bowler, bonnet, top hat or cap you will be wearing on May 4!

Read about last year's event here.

NAWBOŽ-SF Releases Annual Chapter Survey to Members

Deadline extended ... please fill out this survey if you have not already done so. We need your participation to improve our services to you! New deadline is Friday, February 9.

Every year the NAWBOŽ-SF chapter asks our members to complete a survey to tell us a little about themselves and their businesses. We want to be able to serve our members as effectively as possible and your feedback helps us to do that.

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete and ensures the inclusion of accurate and appropriate information in your Member Profile. Only the information indicated with an asterisk will be part of your online member profile. The rest will remain private and secure in the NAWBOŽ-SF database and will be analyzed to better understand our membership population.

Please click here to take the survey now! It only takes a few minutes.

NAWBOŽ/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award Nominations Due February 9

2007 NAWBOŽ/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award

Award for trailblazing women business owners - apply now for a chance to win $5,000!

Deadline for nominations is February 9

Wells Fargo and the National Association of Women Business OwnersŽ (NAWBOŽ) want to recognize the fantastic talent, drive and innovation of women business owners. In 2001 Wells Fargo launched the NAWBOŽ/Wells Fargo Trailblazer Award to celebrate the enormous role women play in driving the American economy.

We are looking for women business owners, like yourselves, who have successfully developed unique products, services or delivery channels in their business. Tell us how your business reflects your vision and commitment to building an organization that truly makes a difference in your community.

Three outstanding women business owners from throughout the country will be recognized for their trailblazing spirit as demonstrated by their companies' business performance, innovation, growth and personal service to the community. Each winner will receive a cash grant of $5,000 as well as nationwide recognition, and will be recognized at the 2007 NAWBO Annual Women's Business Conference in Atlanta, GA.

National Association of Women Business OwnersŽ (NAWBOŽ) March 2007 Membership Campaign

Help your local chapter reach its membership goals during March, when NAWBO National waives the $25 membership processing fee! With its March 2006 Membership Campaign, NAWBO inspired more than 500 new members throughout the country to join our growing association during that month alone. In 2007, the goal is that each chapter engages 5-20 new members to join NAWBO during the month of March. By increasing our membership both locally and nationally, we have additional opportunities to influence public policy, expand our positive imprint in our local communities, and continue to pave the way for all women business owners.

Help NAWBO-SF meet its membership goals, and connect women business owners you know with an effective, powerful and dynamic organization.

Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) Annual WIPP Membership Survey

Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) is conducting its Annual WIPP Membership Survey and your participation is critically important. This survey allows WIPP to speak authoritatively on your behalf with Members of Congress, key officials in the White House, and renowned national reporters.

When the question is, "What do women in business want?" the annual survey lets WIPP answer with the greatest impact. And "impact" is what it's all about: Women Impacting Public Policy.

Please take a few minutes and complete the survey linked below. It covers a variety of policy issues such as taxes, procurement, access to capital, energy, and healthcare and allows you to let us know what issues are important to you. All surveys are confidential and must be completed and submitted by February 5, 2007. Survey results will be posted on our website at www.WIPP.org.

Walnut Creek Resources and Referrals Meeting
Thursday, February 15
7:30am to 9:00am
Il Fornaio in Walnut Creek

The next Walnut Creek Resources and Referrals Breakfast meeting will be held on Thursday, February 15 from 7:30am to 9:15am at Il Fornaio Restaurant in Walnut Creek.

Our topic will be: Getting your Vision Grounded. It sounds counter-intuitive, but if your vision (that big dream you have for your business) sounds like it's aloft in the clouds, it may be hard for others to see and believe in, and difficult for you to execute. So how do you bring your vision down to earth - at least so that you and others know what your business will look like in the future?

Come join a group of engaged and engaging women who enjoy sharing and giving candid feedback to each other. We expect this to be a lively discussion and hope it will enable participants to crystallize their vision so that it becomes a prism for channeling energy and producing results.
